This morning I went to a great garage sale in Crown Heights, my favorite historic neighborhood in Oklahoma City. Here is what I found:
I couldn't be happier with these two pink lamps.
They match my little girl's room perfectly. $10.00
This antique tablecloth was an amazing find because it fits my obnoxiously long dining room table. It's 124x64 and the lady said it was made from "antique cloth." $15.00
A little more detail. This thing is so heavy.
I also bought this candle holder. I have big plans for it. You can see a full length shot of it in the above picture of the tablecloth. I plan on buying different crystals and filling it with those thick short candles - all different colors, because I'm like that. $5.00
Here are a couple more things I picked up at the same sale:

I love Christmas. I love Dylan Thomas. And, I've always wanted to visit Wales. $1.00

The fireplace in one of my kids' rooms is closed off.
It's like a colossal, worthless piece of concrete.
Thus, this candle-thingy made me very happy. Even if it is a little brassy.
$4.00

Wow Jen I love your concept of the 50 states and 50 genX bloggers ... if you ever branch out to the WORLD and want an Aussie 1967er I am your girl :)
Well hello US Jen ... thanks for dropping by me .. we seem to have strands in common - children, scrapping, similar employment backgrounds maybe and being born in the same year ... you go girl !
Would you think of showing the label/tags for your blogs down the side bar so new readers like me can find your blogs that relate to specific topics - not months - no harm in asking .. otherwise I will just have to read it all ...
Your blogs about your dad brings me to tears - I watched my nan pass thru this soul destroying disease ... shadows of former self.
All the best Le xox
Those pink lamps are divine!
Wow, you found some lovely things! I think garage sales in OK must be better than the ones here!
I spent a short time (about 3 months) in Claremore...years ago!...but I remember really having fun in the antique shops there. good stuff!
I've got a blog to nominate...for Oregon...www.xanga.com/madhousewife. She's former journalist, now at home with four kids. Very funny, but also insightful, and a wonderful writer.
I COVET...ermmmm...I mean love those pink lamps!! I wish we had garage sales. Sadly, we only have "stoop sales" here in the cit-ay, and that tablecloth would have prolly cost several hundred. Lucky you!
