Forecasters predict it will be 50 degrees tomorrow.

Today, every blade of grass in my front yard is coated with ice.
My neighborhood, December 11, 2007. We were forced out of our house for 11 long, stressful days while we waited for power to be restored.

Ice is so treacherous - such a contradiction, since it is so beautiful. Your photos are gorgeous, Jen.

Great pictures.
Beautiful photos! I think I was out of power for 7 days. What a difference a few blocks makes.
AVT Coach told me about the ice storm. Hope it is over soon.
Way too dangerous to be on the roads.
Hugs

I am loving these images ... here I am - virtauly on the same day taking pics of sunflowers in my back garden while you take pics of ice flowers - what a weird and crazy world we live in :) hugs le
you know what the best thing about this storm has been?
not having hearing this:
How are the airports? You need to get out there. How many flights are cancelled? Any delays?????? OMG, what's going on!!!!!!?????
instead i had this conversation on Monday:
You should leave by noon, and work from home tomorrow.
@ReRe - I completely relate. Like I said, my only take away from that time was my friendship with you. Staying in touch w/ you helps me remind me of that. I still remember one of our first conversations - about your mom.
You can't imagine how happy I am to not be in that world anymore. I don't care if I have to sell everything I own and live in a hogan. I refuse to make a living hedging.
That is awful. Eleven days is a long time to go without power. I have trouble going w/o power for more than an hour.
