A writer in Australia has managed to write some of the meanest words I have ever read in reference to Generation X. Who does this? Who says this stuff? Emma Mayall I guess.
I’ll let the Gen X Files, Latchkey Man and Third on the Right handle this. Check out this excerpt from a column she wrote for Australia’s QuikSilver Pro:
“There’s little else for them to be cheery about, what with their hungry offspring and hungrier mortgages to contend with during today’s climate of job insecurity. Not to mention the usual greying hair and sagging body parts…”
This isn’t even funny – not even in a sarcastic kind of way.
More Blue Plate Special being prepared. I just wanted to hurry up and get this little shrimp off the barbie.
Aren’t my food metaphors annoying? Help me. I can’t stop it. At least I didn’t work in Pop Rocks or Hubba Bubba. Hahahahahaha!
