Girls Are Like Apples On Trees

The poem Girls Are Like Apples on Trees is by Pete Wentz.

Girls Are Like Apples On Trees

Girls are like
apples on trees. The best
ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys don’t want to reach for
the good ones because they are afraid
of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they
just get the rotten apples from the ground
that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples
at the top think something is wrong with
them, when in reality, they’re amazing.
They just have to wait for the right
boy to come along, the one
who’s brave enough
to climb
all the way
to the top
of the tree.

I was lucky I didn’t have to climb to the top to find a good woman. A good one fell from the top and hit me on the head.

    Cool. I dig it.

And for the record, I was an apple tree climber from a very young age. Probably how I ended up with such an amazing wife, and daughter.

I suppose I was destined to such, as I grew up with apples trees in my back yard and was climbing them as soon as I could reach the lower branches and pull myself up.

    oh… the poem.

They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one

    of the tree.

Or throw a good stone. Some of us can’t climb.

    Hiya Jen,

Just returning the compliment. You never have to apologize for not popping around.. I understand and face the same problems. Anyway, you earned my deep respect a long time ago and I know you are there in spirit.

Yes, I’ve been married for four years. A wonderful woman who accepts theunacceptale. I just try and give her so much else to compensate.

Hope you and the family are all well… my best thoughts, wishes and hopes, Shane. x
