Did the films of John Hughes make us better parents? Writer Melissa Rayworth explores this subject in a piece for Parent Dish. Rayworth interviewed me Friday for this article. I so enjoy the opportunity to talk about Generation X and the influence of John Hughes.
Rayworth also wrote a piece for babble.com, The Betty Draper Effect, which is a must-read for all working moms. It is fantastic. I nearly cried when I read it. Then again, I cry frequently while surfing the Internet.

Betty Draper - Mad Men is a powerful show. I want to get you season 1. Would you watch it?
You're getting more famous every day. I can't say any film made me a better parent. Of course, I would like to blame movies for parenting mistakes I have made.
I'm so sad about John Hughes. I grew up watching his movies. I related to all his movies in many ways. So sad to learn of his death.
I found your blog through my comments. Do you have anything to do with Blogs of Note? Just curious since you were the first to congrat me, lol!
I love your blog! I'm not sure if I am a GenX Blogger but I was born in '76 and I am in Colorado :)
