According to Australian researcher and social commentator, Mark McCrindle Generation Z will be responsible money-wise and have a strong work ethic.

In stark contrast to Generation Y, these youngsters know the importance of saving money and working hard and are even more computer savvy.

McCrindle on Gen Z
“If Gen Ys were regarded as empowered and the ‘me now’ generation, were superficial and appeared to flit between jobs, we’re seeing the pendulum swing back with Gen Z to traditional values, a strong work ethic and financial conservatism…They have been significantly impacted by the economic downturn when in one’s formative years they see parents downsize or lose their jobs… they realise you have to prepare for a rainy day…”

@YOGI – TR is big into kids not being in nature. I keep trying to get him to guest post for me about it!

@SOMETHING HAPPENED – I have great hope for Gen Z!

@ANDI – That is great! I love it that my daughter and I can talk computers and gadgets!

Thank you, God, for a child with a generational predisposition to financial wisdom. Just what Hubs and I always wanted!

Both my nieces are Gen Z and it amazing to watch them on the computer. Especially the little one who is 6. While visiting with her recently I showed her my website. Later when I got home, I had an email from a form she submitted on the site, with a comment that said: “how do you play this game” – I loved it!

I think that would be awesome. We really need that pendulum to swing the other way. It hurts my heart to see the direction that we have moved in and the lack of family values and work ethic are quickly fading.
