This blog is both celebration and commentary for Generation X, those former latchkey kids born between 1961 and 1981. I write about Gen X at the four-way stop of faith, culture, career and family. The name, Are you there God? It's Me, Generation X, is taken from the popular 1970 book, Are You There God? It's me Margaret. Practically every Generation X girl read it.
Gen X professionals want work-life balance more than the corner office. Click pic to link to a special section in Fortune magazine highlight work-life balance success stories including flexible work arrangements.
My nephew Jayson, a Gen Xer born in 1980, and a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard, leaves for Iraq on February 6, 2010. Please keep him and all of our troops in your prayers.
