This Gen Xer’s mom made this costume. I am really amazed at the creativity that once went into costumes. I always want to make original costumes for my kids, but always feel like I’m running so short on ideas. These pictures have realy inspired me!
It’s interesting how many robots and space-related costumes were popular in the 1970s in particular. It’s definitely a sign of generation x coming of age in the space age. So neat!
Not gen x, but I would love a Cylon costume.
The homemade costumes are the best. Sweetie has done some great ones for SuperPizzaBoy over the years. I’ll have to gen up the scanner and post some.
My favorite was the “SuperPizzaBoy” costume itself one year.
