generation alpha

If you're pregnant and your baby is due on January 1, 2010, he or she will be among the first members of a new generation - Generation Alpha.

Let it be known, these alphabet generations began with Generation X. What began as a rather deriding name has now influenced the naming of three subsequent generations - Generation Y (1982-1994); Generation Z (1995-2009) and now, Generation Alpha (2010-). Whadya wanna bet there's gonna be a Generation Beta? You can read all about it from the folks Down Under.

Jen, Generation X was named so because X always marks the spot where the buried treasure is. And at age 60 who wants to be known as a baby as in baby boomer. Rob

Hi Jen
Wow another generation being born!
I like the name, though it will probably be abbreviated to Gen A.
I always learn something when I visit your blog Jen.
Hope you are having a great week.
