my mom makes the coolest stuff!

I have the most talented, creative mom in the world. She's always sharing her creations with us. She is such a huge blessing to me and my kids!

Last night, Juliette wore this Little Red Riding Hood cape, which she talked my mom into making. It doubled last night as a cape for a traveler, the role Juliette played in the school Christmas program.

Cape!

This kid talks her into making stuff all the time!

Here is a wonderful platter of Christmas cookies my mom made for us just today. I'm enjoying just looking at them right now. They're so pretty and her presentation is always so nice.

Cookies!

Hats!

Below is a hat, scarf and glove set my mom crocheted for the Super Bridgy last year. (She wore it last night to big sissy's Christmas program.) Actually, my mom made a set like this for everyone in the ENTIRE EXTENDED FAMILY!

The Super Bridgy clapping during the performance.

Stockings!

Below are some laminated Christmas stocking placemats she made the kids last year. She made similar ones for my 3rd grade class, Giberson Elementary, 1976. They were Santa Claus faces. When she arrived at the school that day, her blond hair was done up in hair-sprayed curls on top of her head. She wore sparkly ear screws (no kidding, they called them ear screws); a white lacy turtle neck and a long black velvet skirt. She looked so beautiful!

I don't want to elaborate, but would you please hope along with me that my mom will have many answered prayers this Christmas? I believe she will.

I agree that Grandma always has a magical touch to her art. Always so creative! She helped me with so many projects when I was Juliette's age. She taught me how to knit, crochet, and cross-stitch. To garden, bake zucchini bread, and to write neatly in cursive. What a jewel. :) I love her so much.
