Generation X has demonstrated an early appetite for nostalgia, but one thing we don’t seem to like is Hollywood junking up our favorite titles.
See if you agree with Neal Rodriguez’s list, The Greatest Gen X Films Remade This Decade. You also might want to check out two posts Suzanne (Generation Xpert) has published about remakes. One is about Where the Wild Things Are and the other is about The Karate Kid and Cobra Kai.
Is there a film you’d like to see remade? Is there a film you’d rather poke yourself in the eye with a pick up stick than see remade?
You know, I really like Pick Up Sticks. I think I’ll give some away. Answer one of the aforementioned questions in the comment section and you’ll have a chance to win a tube of poke-a-Hollywood-Boomer-in-the-eye Pick Up Sticks. hahahaha!
As weird as Tom Cruise (b. 1962) has turned out to be, it would be good to see some of his iconic films (The Firm, Risky Business, Top Gun) remade starring someone normal, say Christian Slater (b. 1969) or Ethan Hawke (b. 1970). They’ve both been kind of weird since day one.
