Well over a year ago, I sat in a dentist office in Edmond, Oklahoma, waiting for Robert to have this wisdom teeth pulled. I had my hands full with two toddlers in diapers crawling all over me. A very nice family helped me keep my sanity. It was Thaddeus Johnson's family. Johnson, an Oklahoman, tried out for American Idol in Dallas and has advanced to Hollywood.
I spent an hour talking to Johnson's mother. She told me Thaddeus was going to be a star, and that when he turned 16, he was going to try out for American Idol. She told me to commit his name to memory because he was going to be famous. And, then Thaddeus, possibly the most polite young man I have ever met, sang for me. In the dentist's office. And, it wasn't nearly as strange as it sounds. Because he was so gifted and so humble.
Good luck, Thad! Whether you make it all the way or not, you're famous now, and have a heart that will carry you far beyond the hype.

oh how cool is that? I'm listening to him sing over the rainbow (a personal fave of mine) and he's given me chills.

What a wonderful story. It is strange yet wonderful how people's lives cross in life.
I always think it is amazing the people God places within our paths.
