For as long as I can remember, Oklahoma has been concerned with meeting the demand various state industries have for engineers. Recently, I learned about a trio of animated, minute-long videos designed to capture the attention of young Okies and encourage them to pursue such a career. These were developed by an Oklahoma City ad firm in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
I couldn't wait to show these to my 13-year-old, and when I did she told me something that surprised me. She was involved in some of the market research for the campaign as a member of a voluntary focus group at her school. Cool, huh? (A fellow student's dad was helping with research.)
This reminds me of all the times my mother asked me about my schoolday growing up. No matter if I got licks (Texas); frostbite (Kansas) or traded my hot lunch for Kim's boloney-n-grape-jelly sandwich (Colorado), I always answered, "Nothing."
It's good to know nothing has changed. Except one thing. Gen Y/Z Tori has a better shot at becoming an engineer than the generations of Toris who have gone before her. Shred your face off!
Check out Mick and Nar.

Yeah that is great that you thought you would be showing your child something and they already new about it and worked on it. Love the video.
