[The Jennifer Chronicles]
I found these pictures of Jennifer and Heather on Flickr. They were made available under the Blogger-share function, so I created a collage out of them. They chronicle the friendship of Heather and Jennifer, two girls who were born in the sweet spot of Generation X, 1970. Jennifer is the brunette and Heather is the blond.

Who didn’t want to have the same best friend all through school? Naturally, you wonder if they’re still friends, but maybe they were sisters? Nothing on Kverko’s account mentions Jennifer beyond these childhood pictures.

Today, the name Jennifer, the most popular name for Generation X girls, ranks 134. Heather is also a popular name for Generation X women. In 1962, it was the 247th most popular name of newborn girls (Social Security Administration). By 1972, it ranked 9th and remained in the top 10 names of girls until 1988 when it fell to 14th and began its decline to its position today, 708.
