It’s Easter Weekend, one of my favorite times of the year. Doesn’t Bridgette look fantastic in her little fasicnator? Oh, I’m so proud of my baby girl!
I love how the Duchess of Cambridge has inspired this new trend in hats. When I told Bridgy they were called fascinators she said, “Hat on a headband is a better name.” I thought that was so funny. I agree with her!
Little girls and boy grow up very fast. Too fast for me! This song was very popular in my family growing up: Turn Around by Harry Belafonte and Malvina Reynolds. Beautiful stuff. Have a listen. Have you ever heard it?
Where are you going my little one, little one.
Little dirndls and petticoats, where have you gone?
Turn around and you’re tiny
Turn around and you’re grown
Turn around and you’re a young wife with babes of your own.
Ahh, it’s a real tear-jerker.
By the way, I picked up this dress and matching fascinator at Dillard’s at Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City.
I’m so looking forward to Easter Sunday. This Sunday, my husband Robert will be confirmed in the Catholic church. Congratulations, Robert, on your spiritual journey! Very soon my son Sullivan will take his First Communion.
Here’s one of my favorite Easter Dinner recipes: Pickled Eggs! They’re beautiful and yummy.
