Check out these beautiful Collegeville and Ben Cooper Halloween costume pics from the 1970s including Isis, Wonder Woman, Kiss (Ace Frehley) Red Skull, Casper, Battlestar Galactica, Pink Panther, Star Wars, Fred Flinstone, Daffy Duck, Superstar Barbie, Cinderella, Chewbacca, C-3PO and Holly Hobbie. Also, hobos, clowns, Dracula, and a rare Kooky Spooks, too!
The photos were taken by retired math and science teacher Bill Fasulo, 69, who chronicled the school years of Generation X like no other photographer 📷 I’ve discovered. He took hundreds of high-quality pictures of Gen-Xers in the classroom and schoolyard during a time snapshot (candid, vernacular) photography was really suffering from super cheap cameras and poor processing. As such, his photographs have a timeless quality to them and provide an exceptional record of the #GenX childhood.
Here are some of his photos from Halloween 🎃 1979. Fasulo retired from teaching in 2007, the same year he was honored as Teacher of the Year. 🏆

A clown, a hobo, Superman, and a kid with amazing parents who let him wear Ace Frehley Kiss costume for Halloween, 1979.
The Witchie Poo / Witchy Poo costume is a throwback to the 17 episodes of H.R. Pufnstuf that aired in some form in various places from 1969 to 1985. Also pictured here is a glorious original Ben Cooper Star Wars C-3PO costume; Pink Panther; Chewbacca; Cinderella; a classic witch; Daffy Duck and possibly Robin Hood.
This photo was taken in 1979; however, you can still see the influence of America’s 1976 Bicentennial celebration in the teacher’s recylced costume. A girl is also wearing a Colonial type patchwork print dress. Also featured are a bunny; Fred Flintstone; possibly a Geisha; Superman; the devil; a bunny rabbit and Daffy Duck.
A baton twirler beating up a burglar/robber trying to scare a princess. So funny!
The only costume I recognize here is the cheerleader.
Halloween 1979 | It looks like the kid on the far left is dressed up like John Denver. We also have a sailor, a clown, and a Ben Cooper or Collegeville Casper.
Ben Cooper C-P30 and various other flame-retardant costumes with masks that asphyxiated you. lol.
