KISS Concert T-shirt from the 1900s. LOL. Also, possibly a sketchy iron-on.
Back in the 1900s, 😆 we carried metal lunch boxes to school that featured our favorite cartoon characters. We also wore KISS concert T-shirts neatly tucked into our jeans. 👖 We liked to look clean-cut while we listened to bands that spit blood 🩸, played flaming 🔥 guitars, and occasionally levitated. Who can blame the Silent Generation parents for fearing our souls faced eternal damnation? After all, there were rumors that KISS was an acronym for 😈 Knights In Satan’s Service. Gene Simmons and his impossibly long pink tongue did not help the situation. By the way, did you know there was a rumor going around in the 1970s that Simmons had a cow tongue surgically attached? Ugh.
I must confess I never liked KISS. They totally scared me. Also, I was more of an Air Supply girl. ❤️ There were never any Ben Cooper costumes of Air Supply, though. 😆 You can see KISS Halloween costumes here in this post I wrote in 2020. Here’s another one from 2009!
Back in the 1900s
Also, I can’t believe I have to explain my funny joke, but based on recent Facebook reactions I guess I do. My reference to the 1900s includes 1900-1999, also known as the 20th Century. It can also refer to 1900-1909, but in this case, it doesn’t. Some people on Facebook felt the need to tell me the picture was more than likely not taken in the 1900s but rather, the 1970s or 1980s.
Seriously, people. 🤣
In addition, someone noted on Facebook that also back in the 1900s we did not have 🎒 “pansy backpacks.” 😂 We actually carried our books 📚 to school. I do recall satchels, however, during my Bicentennial years in Colorado Springs. I loved my satchel so much! It had two straps that buckled. LOL. Can you imagine how long it must have taken me to get my books and papers packed into it?
More KISS Concert T-Shirt Pics
Some Facebook comments are real buzz-kills, including the person who pointed out that this T-shirt is not really a KISS Concert T-shirt but rather an iron-on. Scandalous, I know.

Who doesn’t wear their KISS shirt while hanging deer?

Decades are clashing in this photo of the same kid in a KISS concert shirt (KISS Army) and the mid-century Pluto clock. It was probably purchased with Green Stamps. LOL.

This kid was an early adopter of KISS.

As anyone alive in the 1970s who visited Spencer Gifts knows, iron-on’s count.
Hehehehe! You better believe it!
