Filmmaker Looking for Teens in 1989 Film Featuring Children of Vietnam Vets

In 1989 filmmaker David Hoffman recorded a therapy session for Gen-Xers who shared stories about growing up with fathers who were Vietnam War veterans. The teenagers, all of whom appear to have been born in the late 1960s, were filmed at a church in St. Louis, Missouri.

“I felt for these kids and for the veterans who returned with PTSD and other mental and physical challenges,” Hoffman posted on YouTube. “The names of these young people are lost in my files (destroyed in a fire). I would love to reach out to them today to hear what happened to them and to their fathers as time went on.

Please share this video and help Hoffman connect with these members of Generation X. I have assigned the Vietnam tag to several posts over the years. My favorite one features an Amerasian looking for her American father who served in Vietnam.
