Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary,
and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40)
If you were born between 1961 and 1981, you're Generation X. We grew up during the greatest anti-child phase in modern history to become the world's most devoted parents. God always works it out for our good.
So, I'm Jennifer. I've been blogging since 1999,
and doing this Gen X blog thing since 2008.
Where have you been this whole time?
Motherhood is the greatest adventure and blessing of my life. My children, 19, 11 and 9, are a gift from the Lord. Thank you, God, for my beautiful children.
Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. (Psalm 127)

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 3)
I'm Jennifer, an American wife and mother. I'm a member of the 13th generation of Americans born between 1961 and 1981. I'm Generation X.
This blog is devoted to faith and family; to exploring and understanding my lifelong journey as a Gen-Xer, first in the 20th Century, and now in the 21st. The site has been featured in quite a number of news outlets including the National Associated Press, Good Housekeeping and the Washington Post. I'm grateful, but still hoping to publish a book someday.
I hope you enjoy this uncommon collection of commentaries and memoirs that reflect the Gen-X experience. I'm so glad you stopped by today. Let's stay in touch on social media.
