Can I pray for you?
Sometimes, prayer is all I’ve had.
Growing up, I attended small rural churches. At the back of the church was always a wooden prayer box for anonymous requests. My father, who was a minister, faithfully checked the box every Sunday, but it was almost always empty. So, I decided to write down my prayer requests so my dad would have someone to pray for.
Not that I wasn’t already at the top of his list. Ha!
Prayer has been a daily part of my life for as long as I can remember. Although we may never meet in person, I’m privileged to pray for you. And, I don’t need to know your real name to pray for the real you. So, use the prayer request form above or email me at jenx67[at]cox[dot]net. I will carry your prayer requests to the grotto I visit every week in South Oklahoma City. Take comfort in knowing someone is going to light a candle for you this week and take your needs and problems to God. You can also pray for me. I would appreciate it so much!
Thank you for trusting me with your prayer needs.
Pray More Novenas
I attend the Catholic Church, and over the last few years have discovered so many beautiful novenas, nine public or private prayers you say for nine consecutive days. Please read more about this amazing tradition in my post, Pray More Novenas. I have had so many answers to prayer when I pray novenas!
4 Prayers You Can Pray Right Now
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.”
“Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me now your ways, that I may know you in order to find favor in your sight.” (Exodus 33:13)
“And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” (Philippians 1:9-11)
“O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.
For you are not a God who delights in wickedness;
evil may not dwell with you.
The boastful shall not stand before your eyes;
you hate all evildoers.
You destroy those who speak lies;
the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love,
will enter your house.
I will bow down toward your holy temple
in the fear of you.
Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies;
make your way straight before me.” (Psalms 51: 1-8)
