almost as big as person going potty. =)
Today, I peeked in at the parochial schools’ arts festival at St. Luke’s. J danced the Irish jig with fellow students, but I missed it. By the time I got there, they had already left. I milled around a bit checking out the art. The students’ work (K-12) was really impressive. Then I came across J’s clay sculpture. When I realized her entry didn’t win a ribbon – not even third place – I just sank! She was so proud of her sculpture. She worked so hard on it – stressed over it – and was particularly proud of the clay potty complete with indisposed clay person. I wanted to cry because I knew how disappointed J must have been to come across her artwork and find it had not been awarded a ribbon.
