Happy 8th Anniversary to my husband Robert!
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
William Shakespeare
(1564 – 1616)
Congratulations!
My friend, who has a very neat handwriting, wrote this sonnet for me on handmade paper and gifted it on my wedding day….
It was one of the best wedding gifts I got! I mean she could have emailed it, or taken a printout, but I liked her gen x style of writing it with her own hands 🙂
Btw, any post on the death of the post-office? I feel sad that we are probably the last generation of philatelists 🙁
Big, big congratulations Jen and Robert!!!
My sincere congratulations! I remember going to your beautiful wedding, and even though I was young, I remember feeling so much love in that room. I truly respect and admire your relationship, and I wish you many more happy years.
Side Note: The first thing I thought when I saw this picture was, “Hey, I know those girls in the background!”. Haha, weddings lend to selfishness methinks. I didn’t notice his tie that day, but it was perfect!
