Study Shows Generation X Parents Steal Halloween Candy From Their Kids

When I saw this picture the first thought I had was Oklahoma panhandle. Turns out it was taken on Halloween — circa 1960 – in the Texas panhandle.

Generation X, you’re busted.

According to a new study by the National Confectioner’s Association, Generation X parents are most likely to steal Halloween treats from their kids. Nearly 25 percent admit to the “theft.” I’m sure it all that over-parenting causing a little hyperglycemia.

Your pillowcase of goodies aren’t safe, kiddies. Better hide the chocolate lest you awake and find we only left you Twizzlers and Sweet Tarts. 

According to the same study, Baby Boomers are the super generous generation. They hand out the most candy. Millennials are the most likely generation to throw a Halloween party or dress up for the celebration.

    Hahah! Count me in, I’m totally guilty of hiding my kid’s loot and having some for myself. He’s 8 yrs. old though, so he knows his take after the night’s over. We have to regulate his intake of all that sugar, otherwise he’d eat the whole thing in a day or two. lol
