Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, one of the top 10 most defining moments for Generation X. Google has put together a “Google Doodle” to mark the occasion.
The fall of the Berlin Wall was a defining moment for Generation X. The Christmas after the wall fell I bought a piece of the wall at Foley’s Department Store. Those crumbling pieces of concrete had been marketed as keepsakes. I wish I still had it!
I remember watching video of a group atop the wall and some young man had a sledgehammer that he was pounding into the top of it like he had 30 years worth of pain and rage coming out of every swing.
