This year for Bridgette’s birthday, I gave her a beautiful Soufeel charm bracelet. Unlike the stuffed animals, clothes and gadgets that will eventually end up at Goodwill, the bracelet can stay with her throughout her lifetime. It’s something she can pass down through the generations.
This is important to me because family heirlooms enrich our appreciation for the past. Without them, we lose important elements in our life narrative. Books, diaries, dolls, toys, old magazines, tombstone rubbings, needlework, letters, souvenirs, dishes, scrapbooks, baubles and bracelets are among everyone’s favorite family keepsakes.
Picking Charms
We’ve already celebrated several important events in Bridgy’s young life, so I had some catching up to do. I picked four charms to get things going:
- A birthstone charm featuring Swarovski crystals in sterling silver
- A bulldog to represent her school mascot
- A Holy Bible charm to mark her First Communion
- A daughter charm
The thing I love best about the Soufeel charm bracelet is that the charms don’t dangle from tiny, thin links. They fit securely on the sterling silver snake bracelet — complete with a nifty barrel clasp. It will make it much harder for Bridgy to lose her cherished trinkets. Dare I say, it works like a charm. Ha!
Soufeel offers hundreds of charms assigned to a dozen or so themes including religion, occupations, hobbies, vacations, travel, animals, pets, family, friends, and more. I’ve already anticipated the ones I’m going to buy next. I really love the good luck charms.
Free Shipping
Soufeel charms are 925 sterling silver and fit Pandora and Chamilia bracelets; however, they are offered at a lower price and still boast a great quality. Plus, Soufeel offers FREE SHIPPING worldwide with orders over $50. They also have a 365-day return and exchange guarantee.

But, what if my daughter is all grown-up?
If you’re thinking that your daughter is all grown-up and maybe it’s too late to buy charms and connect them to special memories or events, you may want to reconsider. I’ve already ordered a bracelet for my 17-year-old daughter Juliette’s upcoming birthday. It’s never too late to mark special occasions with charms. After all, the history of charms dates back to the Neolithic era when man would carry stones and pieces of wood to ward off his enemies. I like the idea of my girls wearing symbols of my love around their wrists as they go out into the big, bad world!
I look forward to seeing Bridgy’s bracelet full of beautiful Soufeel charms — one super special occasion at a time. They cost around $20 to $30 a piece. New charms are added all the time while other charms are retired. The sterling silver bracelets sell for as little as $30 and the quality is great.
Did you have a charm bracelet growing up?

Where can I find the bulldog charm! I can’t find it anywhere
Do you happen to know where I can get the bulldog charm? I really want one so bad..
What a great idea, and the thicker charms that don’t dangle seem much more practical.
I didn’t have a charm bracelet growing up, but my Mom gave me her childhood charm bracelets (she had two) and I still have them, and they look a lot like the one Jackie O had. I did have a charm bracelet in my 20’s, I am wracking my brain trying to remember the brand, it was flags from different countries that you could collect and they weren’t charms that hung down, but they made a link bracelet.
