Going through my mother’s cedar chest, we found our old Girl Scout and Boy Scout uniforms. My mother loved being a Girl Scout leader, and of course, she was awesome! Here’s my brother’s San Gabriel Valley Boys Scouts of America cub scout shirt. This was back when we were all, quite literally, Valley Girls. I guess Billy was a Valley Boy. ☺️
I had my mother for 50 years. There were many chapters along the way, and none were like our years in the San Gabriel Valley. I miss these days most of all when I was a young child and my mother carried me in her arms.
I love you, Mom. I miss you very much.
