1970s Red Leotards

I bet you couldn’t guess that this picture was taken in the 1970s.  🥰 I snagged it for the girl’s red leotards, which became a popular fashion trend after Jennifer Cavilleri  (Ali McGraw) wore them in Love Story. ❤️ I loved that movie and remember watching it with my mom when I was a teenager. National Public Radio recently covered its 50th anniversary

I have a whole collection of photos of Gen-X girls in colorful leotards. Does anyone else remember how tight the red ones were compared to the green, black, yellow, and white? It must have been the dye. 😃 I also love this picture for the tinsel tree, the gold curtains, the cornice, the blenders, the furniture. Also, the little girl is combing her doll’s hair! 😍 I think it’s a Crissy doll! (Click here to read another fun Crissy post.)
